Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using the VSLA Records App (the "App") provided by BenDevsPro, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

1. Nature of the Service

The App is a localized, digital ledger calculator designed to assist Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) in tracking their financial records. The App does not hold, process, or transfer real fiat currency, Mobile Money, or physical cash.

2. Limitation of Liability for Physical Funds

BenDevsPro provides software, not financial services. We are not a bank, custodian, or fiduciary. The accurate safeguarding of physical cash lockboxes remains the sole responsibility of the VSLA committee. BenDevsPro shall not be held liable for any discrepancies between the digital ledger and physical cash, theft of physical funds, embezzlement, or data entry errors made by App users.

3. Data Loss & Cryptographic Responsibility

The App utilizes end-to-end and local encryption to protect your data. If a group loses their Admin Passwords, Support PINs, or physical Quorum Keys, the data may become permanently irrecoverable. BenDevsPro does not possess "Master Keys" to bypass this encryption and cannot be held responsible for data loss resulting from forgotten credentials or device destruction.

4. Irreversible Group Deletion & Local Backups

The App includes a feature to permanently delete a group's financial ledger. To prevent accidental data loss, this action is protected by a strict, multi-step confirmation process. By completing this process, you explicitly acknowledge that the action is a deliberate, irreversible decision. BenDevsPro will never categorize a completed deletion sequence as an "accident."

Upon confirmation, the App permanently erases the local database and automatically deletes your group's Disaster Recovery backup from our cloud servers. The data will be lost forever unless you have manually generated a Local Backup file (.enc). Local Backup files are secured with a custom password created by the Admin at the time of backup. BenDevsPro does not store these backup passwords. If you delete your group and lose your local backup password, your data cannot be recovered. BenDevsPro accepts no liability for data deleted through this deliberate process.

5. Appropriate Use

You agree to use the App in compliance with all local laws and regulations governing financial associations in your jurisdiction. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass the security features of the App.

6. "As Is" Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BenDevsPro, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your group's internal financial disputes.
